PLANTS TO HAVE INDOORS

You don’t dare to have a plant because you don’t know how to take care? Can’t take the sadness of buying a plant anymore and after a while it dies?

In addition to brightening the house with their colors and composing the decoration, the plants bring many other benefits. They are natural humidifiers for the environments, inspire creativity, minimize allergies, and clean the air! These reasons alone are enough to rethink and wish to have a plant in every corner of the house.

To help you get out of the “succulent and cactus” comfort zone, we have separated 10 species that love to stay indoors and need only simple care to live happy and healthy.

1 – Aglaonema

It has a beautiful pattern in the foliage and has more than 50 variations of its colors and structure. A plant that loves ventilated places, shade and water every day. Hates dry environments, so beware of air conditioning.

2 – Lucky Bamboo

It’s a plant full of symbolism! The number of stems gives it several meanings. It does not like intense light, it can be grown inside a water pot or traditionally in glass pots. It can be shaped in different ways and it is important to make pruning to keep the stems drawn in balance.

3 – Rex Begonia

With colorful and velvety leaves, they steal the show even from flowers, also known for the same variation of the species. It is an easy plant to grow, likes indirect light and moist soil. It is important to note that its leaves are toxic and should be planted out of the reach of children and pets.

4 – Peperomia

It is a super resistant species with beautiful and green leaves and doesn’t need to be watered a lot. Some species grow a lot and can be used pendingly. Peperomia-philodendron grows this way and is resistant even to air conditioning.

5 – Adam’s Rib

It’s a plant that has become fashionable and grows very charming indoors. It is from tropical origin and therefore enjoys an illuminated and airy environment and moist soil. Keep it leaning against walls or some support to avoid falling due to the weight of the leaves.

6 – Croton

A shrub plant with beautiful and colorful leaves, easily stands out in the decoration. It likes plenty of light, moist and rich soil, so it is important to use good fertilizer every quarter. The sap that comes out of its leaves is poisonous, so you should wear gloves when handling it and keep it out of the reach of children and pets.

7 – Dracaena

This plant has many varieties. The amount of light it receives varies the shade of green of the leaves. Regardless of color, it adapts very well to large amounts of light, but not to direct sunlight. It likes very moist soil and should be watered whenever it is dry.

8 – Areca Bamboo

Known as an air purifying plant, it removes toxic gases from the environment, as well as being beautiful and bulky. That’s because it multiplies easily by clump division. If grown in the sun, it turns yellow, but in the shade, it remains green. It is resistant to pests and easy to grow. In summer, the ideal is to water 2 to 3 times a week and in winter once a week.

9 – Pacová

It is a characteristic plant from Atlantic Forest and is widely used to decorate in small and large pots. Likes shade and little water, it is usually necessary to water once a week only.

10 – Zebrina

A striped plant in shades of purple, green and silver, full of charm and super resistant. It likes a lot of light, but not direct sunlight. Likes rich, moist soil. The more sun falling directly on the plant, the less purple the leaves are and the darker the shade of green.

Identify the room, choose a species and buy an ideal plant pot! The final tip is to know in detail the characteristics and particularities of the plant you want to place indoors.
