The industrial economy of Santa Catarina is formed by several poles, such as food, furniture, textiles, ceramics, plastic and coal. During the post-pandemic financial recovery period, four indicators stood out: cellulose and paper; rubber and plastic products; electric materials; and machinery and equipment.
Among the rankings with the highest Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in Santa Catarina, four cities stand out: Joinville, Itajaí, Florianópolis and Blumenau. Together, these regions move almost 100 million reais!
The highest tax collection in the history of Santa Catarina also took place in January 2021, recording R$3.1 billion. The growth is due to the investment and attention given to technology in the state, according to the director of Tax Administration, Lenai Michels.
